Safety
Safety you can see on your next ride.
Everything on this page is how PinkRide works today. Nothing here is a plan, and nothing here is described as stronger than it is.
Women Ride Women.
Women riders. Women drivers.
PinkRide is built around one rule: every ride is a woman riding with a woman. Riders get a lift across the city with someone they are comfortable sitting behind, and women who drive earn on their own hours, carrying women passengers.
In the app
What protects every ride.
OTP to start the ride
Your driver cannot start the trip until you give her your OTP. It confirms you are on the right bike, with the right driver.
Arrival checked at pickup
A driver can only mark herself as arrived once she is near your pickup point — so “arrived” means she is actually there.
Updates at every step
You are told when a driver accepts your ride, when she arrives, when the ride starts and when it ends.
Ratings both ways, kept blind
You rate your driver and she rates you. Neither of you sees the other's rating until both have rated, or a day has passed, so nobody rates in retaliation.
Help from inside the app
Raise a Help & Support request from the app and it reaches our team with your account attached.
Before a driver's first ride
Her documents are on file.
The PinkRide Driver app does not let a driver take rides until she has uploaded all of these. Insurance, PUC and fitness certificates can be added too.
- Aadhaar card, both sides
- Driving licence, both sides
- Vehicle RC, both sides
- Vehicle details and number
- Bank account for payouts
- Profile photo
On the day
What happens on a real ride.
- 1You book, and your request goes to women drivers near your pickup.
- 2You are told when a driver accepts, and again when she arrives.
- 3She can only mark herself arrived once she is near your pickup point.
- 4You give her your OTP. Until you do, the ride cannot start.
- 5At drop-off the fare is settled on the real ride, and you pay her in cash.
- 6You rate her and she rates you — and neither sees the other's rating first.
